Yes, @la_la Girl, I struggled with the lamps. Chunky ones seemed out of scale with the lightly-scaled tables, slender ones seemed out of scale with the substantial upholstered pieces. I ended up trying to hit the middle, and I added books to the tables' shelves to bulk them up a bit visually.

While I like these tables, if it were up to me, I might look for something heftier and perhaps round (as is, the room has a lot of rectangles).

I'd love to see what lamps others would choose for these tables.

And, by the way, I realized this morning that the links shown for both retail lamps above were the same, so I corrected that.

totally my non pro opinion, but I think you can go chunkier than you think - I have the R&B serena lamps on some pretty narrow side tables - mainly making sure the shade isnt wider than the table and I think the scale still works - i would be tempted to try something like @JUDY GRAHAM shows

I actually like the direction you're going. The brass finish works well with the warmth of the room, but I'd also think about the room as a whole rather than just the table lamps. Layered lighting usually makes the biggest difference—table lamps, accent lighting and one strong statement feature together create a much richer look than replacing a single lamp.

I have a table lamp from Arteriors in my living room and they have lots of options. Your room could use something a bit more transitional and unique!

If the table is 25" tall then you're looking for about a 30" tall table lamp.

Here's how a blue ceramic or a brass lamp would appear in the room. BTW note that I have added a brass line on the frame of the painting over the FP. You can accommplish that with some Rub N' Buff.

IMO your original brass lamp posted is way too traditional for your living room that appears to be a more ECLECTIC style.

Yes, we plan to hang the art above the piece on the left and we’re thinking about a lamp there as well. We do have plenty of room to move the furniture out. The tables “heftier”? Not sure I’d want to go larger as they’re 25x25. Are you referring to the legs mainly? Also we’re thinking of this chandelier to replace the fan, and than maybe a nice mirror above the fireplace.

@Chris, when I said "heftier", I didn't mean larger in overall dimensions, just thicker, more substantial in structure, with perhaps a solid top rather than glass.

Like a few have suggested, select chunkier lamps. That will help even out the thin legs of the end tables. If the picture in the center can be reframed I’d go with a thinner frame there, since the other painting has a thick frame as well. Together they seem heavy and a thinner frame in the center would help balance them out.
I like your choice of chandelier. That would look nice in your room. I added a blue throw to pull some of the blue to the sofa.

The all brass lamp that you posted seems a bit heavy and stodgy. Would suggest selecting a lamp that is not all brass but perhaps a combination of brass and ceramic.
