IMO rethink the FS tub and get a nice deep soaker drop in design is nice

I’d consider a single sink vanity so you have more counter and drawer space. With that size vanity I don’t picture two people using the sinks at the same time anyway.

@yuoutech Thanks for your input. I should've prefaced that the proposed build and what we now have doesn't match. The shower wall and bath wall are switched. The original shower space is now empty. The vanity wall is exactly 11ft 10 inches. Toilet and now shower wall is 9ft 10 inches. The shower will use up appx 3ft of that 9ft once the wall divider for shower glass and door is built. I don't want the vanity to feel like an after thought, but also having a 11ft vanity sounds like a lot to me. So what do I do with that space.

Now we have that empty space where the "shower" originally was. The build strayed a lot from what was planned. Do I bring the vanity along the full 11ft wall?

I wouldn’t run the vanity across the entire wall just because the space is available. A smaller double vanity with a linen cabinet—or simply some open space—may feel much better.

This Porter Ranch bathroom uses separate areas for the double vanity, tub and shower without making the room feel crowded. It may give you a helpful layout idea.

Since your home has concrete construction, I would settle the complete layout before moving any plumbing.

I didn't realize you had that much room for your vanity. You have room for 2 sinks if that's what you want. Definitely have some drawer stacks, and plan on a space for storing linens, TP, cleaning supplies, etc. (Maybe a linen tower as mentioned above.) Also figure out where you'll hang towels so they are in easy reach after getting out of the shower or bath. Don't forget to plan a spot for a waste basket (probably under a sink.)

I’d definitely try a few layouts before deciding on the tub, especially since the actual room ended up different from the original plan.

@Overland Remodeling & BuildersOverland That's exactly what I was hoping for. But the more I sit with it, I'll be left with around 17" if I place the tub beside the shower. That doesn't seem like a lot to me. I actually love baths, but poor planning thinking the bathroom would be big enough to fit one. I do want a functional and beautiful bathroom, so I'd rather focus on that vs. fighting to fit a tub.

@chicagoans Yes. I'll just shift my energy to that now, instead of fighting with a tub. Without a bath, I'll have a towel hook just right outside the shower, close to the window. Originally, I was going to do a floating vanity, but now I'll switch to a freestanding, to add some visual weight to the room. Maybe frame out the vanity wall to create a moment. Having a linen closet was part of my initial plan, but honestly, I was willing to forgo it to add the bath. That or do a tower closer to the door. But now, I'll do the tower across from the shower for easy access. Add a pullout hamper in the linen closet? As well as a pullout for trash in vanity.

The second pic you posted works well no need for free standing vanity I love floating ones makes cleaning easier . I just mean a drop in tub with a nice ledge for whatever andstill hang the towel hooks beside each bath space
