Moving a toilet. Is this plumbing possible?

Hello,

We bought a new washer/dryer set but to make everything fit, we need to do some remodeling. The best solution we have involves relocating a toilet into the next room (new bathroom). However the drainage piping is set in concrete and so I'm wondering if I can simply run an extension pipe from the new toilet spot to the old one. The toilet would be 3 feet from its old spot and would be on 5 inch raised floor. The old spot would have platform to hide all the piping underneath and set the washer on top.

Is 5 inches enough to bring a drain for the toilet. Would feet be too long for a proper incline?

You should check with a local plumber on this, but I don't think 5" is even enough for a flange and proper sweep 90.

Could you do it in 5"? Maybe. Will your toilet clog every time you use it if you manage to pipe it that way? Probably.

You are going to need to break out the concrete at the old toilet flange to connect new piping anyway. Once you are doing that, breaking it out a few more feet to the new location is not a lot more work. Just break it all out between old and new locations and then you have all the room you need.

Ok thanks. You are right about he new flange needing its own depth, so I guess I'll be breaking concrete to fit in the new drain

The question is are you thinking of doing the work yourself? From the looks of the electrical, no plates on studs and wires going in to the box, I think you should call a plumber. The question is where is the water going? Where is the main stack? Are you moving it closer to the main stack or away? Where is the vent line? I cant come up with the questions and answers too. Call a Plumber.
