A soft, muted sage green or a warm, deep blue for the lowers would pair beautifully with white uppers. Both options feel timeless rather than trendy and complement natural wood tones well without dating the kitchen.

I like number 3, the rift white oak natural. I wouldnt use any glazing. It dates itself very quickly. No upper cabinets painted. Have them all the same stained wood.

Mixing stained wood with painted wood is very trendy, IMO. (Mixed finishes was unheard of in the past.) So is glazing.

If avoiding trends is your priority, go with the natural.

The more neutral cotton looks good, but our cabinets are similar to the quartersawn wheat and they do hide a lot! Are you set on this layout because the refrigerater seems far from the sink and stove.

Thanks yes. The layout is set and we aware fridge being far and are ok with it. Focus is now on colors.

A friend just did similar colors in her kitchen. It is a very trendy look and mostly what you have seen in Instagram/Pinterest kitchens for the last 3 years.

You might try a real color in a pale shade, rather than all the shades of white. Your house from what I see in the pictures, could use some colorful accents too.
