A soft gray would work well and provide some contrast with the tones in the cabinetry.

Paint the cabinets a neutral to go with the granite and backsplash - something like sw wool skein. Then you have a wholly neutral backdrop and warm wood floors - could do walls in the khaki neutral sw cargo pants.

I feel like the existing color in the table area would work if you could take it over the red-

I would suggest going with a lighter tile closer to the color of the back splash. The richer color in the dining room would match but the cabinets would disappear. One Item should stand out whether it is the cabinets or the paint, if they are too close then they will blend in and nothing will stand out at all. I think with a lighter color wall the cabinets will show up as the furniture in the kitchen.
