Round or square end table

I need help choosing the end table for between the 2 sofas. The choices are either a 24 inch square table that matches the style of the other end table or a round travertine table with metal legs.
Thanks for your help.

Attached are photos of each tab

Pull the rug over to the right a few more inches so that all the legs of the square side table sit on the rug.

Of your choices, my vote would be the round to mix it up a little.

You don't want any more matchy matchy items. Select a round end table that is similar to the finish of the coffee table. Select a new table lamp

At the other end of the sofa use a modest floor lamp. Nothing big. I like it when the base slides under the seating to be out of the way.

The room could use wome window treatments.

Add a round drum table next to the lounge chair.

I'd lean toward the round travertine as well — the warm stone would break up all the straight lines in the room and still sit beautifully next to the dark wood pieces. My only practical note: keep the top close to 24 inches across so there's comfortable elbow room between the two sofas. Excited to see how it looks with the new lamps!

I'd go with the round travertine too. Two square tables would make that corner look like a grid, and the warm stone would pull in the color of the coffee table. Also no sharp corners to bump into walking between the sofas.

The square fits so nicely in a corner between two couches/loveseat...I might look for a round shape for the coffee table. Sharp corners in the middle of the room are no fun as a bonus. While you are putting finishing touches on your space I would suggest curtain panels. They add a lot of warmth and cozy to a room.

I ;ike the function of the square table between the couches. And you already have it. Move it over and choose something round and smaller for the end ofthe right couch.

Consider how you want room to feel overall and have a plan before purchasing anything.

Can the seating area be centered across from the fireplace, to create a more balanced feel and also allow for a console table under the window (skip the right side table). A square side table on left will better fill that corner/be more practical and allow for a larger lamp. Accessories are also key and consider your preferred color scheme.

I'm ok with the square end tables but as other posters have said the room could use window coverings and accessories. Good call Chispa! Shifting the rug so that the legs of the right hand table rest on the rug is excellent advice.

Thanks for all your comments. I already own the coffee table and side table so will keep those.
