Need to paint exterior. Prefer light colors.

Have loved the light colors, but know darker colors are the trend. Could I keep these colors and paint the top fascia board a brown? Currently have Dunn E. soapstone for stucco and Dunn E. travertine for trim. If so what brown - mahogany, reddish tint ?
