Need help with shower surfaces.

Onyx has come up as a possibility in our master bath shower ( open shower no door and zero entry). How does it clean up? Does it compare in cost to tile? What about acrylic surface? I don't want to clean and reseal surfaces and I don't want guests having to wipe down shower walls. What do you like for shower wall surfaces?

Anything that you can install in big slabs with minimal grout lines. I believe onyx will need to be cleaned and sealed regularly, like granite and marble.
