If they seem to pink, go a different color direction. There are so many options out there. The best thing is to get samples and keep bringing them home. Certain colors look different in different settings.

Granite is busy.go a solid back splash. Either black, gray or cream. Even a stainless subway would work.

What do your cabinets look like?

You do not need to rush into picking back splash tile. It can wait until everything is installed and you even live with the cupboards, counters and flooring in the lighting, day and night, of your kitchen. This gives you time to bring samples home and leave them sitting on the counter up against the wall and mull it over, post pictures and get feed back if you need it. The granite installers will need to put down a bead of clear Silicon against the counter and walls, which can be removed later once you are ready to tile. That is what they did in my kitchen.

We've lived in our house over a year now and still haven't chosen a tile for the backsplash. I don't really notice that there isn't one, except behind my cook top where I've splattered oil a few times and it hasn't come clean.

I have very similar granite in my new kitchen. I used the least competitive back splash I could find. It is from Home Depot, 12" x 12" light tan tile.

I agree that you should not be rushed into a decision. Like others have said, let everything else be done, and bring home samples and take your time to be sure of what you want.

All very good advice you're getting here, Rose. Your granite is indeed very nice. It deserves to be the star of the room - it would be a shame to dininish it with competing backsplash tile. Please resist the push to "just get it done," and wait til you get it right. Good Luck! Mark

I've lived in my home for almost two months now, I still have not completed the final "impact" part of our backsplash. Not sure I want tile behind my sink and wine rack area...

I would use polished travertine-I love mine and has just a little gloss to it!

What colour are your appliances? If SS, I have used SS subway tiles with this granite and it looks awesome.
