Do you have a picture of the space you can share

Wickham Grey, Gray Pearls, Swiss Coffee, strand of Pearls - all Ben Moore. I'm suggesting either light blue-greys, warm whites or a greige. Lots of options for you! Curious to know - is this red piece a sofa? An armoire??...

I would think gray would work very well with the piece, but why is that sign so big and hung way up to the ceiling?

Gray definitely would but so many of our other furniture pieces are warm - browns, naturals. The sign is definitely eclectic. The location may change, but it is more our style and will remain somewhere in that room or the living room.... While grey would work great with the red, it just doesn't feel like us or seem to go with our other pieces very well..

I'm really digging on the feel and colors of this living room which would open up into our dining room. Perhaps a cream like that macadamia nut could work well?

That color in your inspiration room, actually looks like a pale gray.

Candle glow or garden stone they are not actual matches but close you can always have the colored matched at Benjamin

I'm still voting for the light blue-grey. Your room doesn't seem to have natural light, so a taupe might feel a bit dreary. The light grey will feel like the outdoors is coming in a bit by suggesting the sky (on a cloudy day?). It will also play off the rich browns of the floors and table very well, and it is red's opposite on the color wheel.

Actually - the room does have pretty good light - it is a north window - but the whole first floor has very large 1900 windows. The natural light is why we bought the house :) Picture doesn't really show it at all does it? The more I look at photos, a grey does seem to best go with the floor. Is there a blue-grey Karemore that you would recommend? Our couch is I believe identical to the inspiration photo above in the adjacent living room.

Gray Owl, Alaskan Husky, Classic Grey? Here's where the problem of colors not being true due to differences in monitors comes in. The colors I post are to get you in the ball park. After that, it's a matter of collecting several paint chips from the store and trying them out in your home to try and narrow it down. I make my selections just based on the paint chips, but they say the best way to do it is by buying sample pots and testing them out. I'm too impatient, I guess. So, these greys have less (or no) blue in them and seem like they would be awesome with a rich brown leather sofa, and with the graphic decor you love. If you wanted to go I to a taupe or greige, there's good old Revere Pewter, but I just don't think a greige will show things off to,their vest advantage. The other option is the white - so many choices there, it's mind boggling. For starters, you could try Simpy White (BM), which is a warm white but without yellow undertones. Going down the paint strip, it actually becomes a khaki. I have used this color throughout our former cottage and it went with absolutely everything. With all your windows, however, you might be happier with a bit of color on the walls.
