I LOVE the stone you have on your counters! I actually think a dark floor will create a nice contrast to the cabinets, while still matching your granite. Happy decorating!

I can't visualize the ebony stain, but I must say the current floor color looks like it works really well, from what I can see. I might stick to something similar.

In your kitchen, I still really like the current color. It has all the right tones for your cabinets and beautiful counter. I really like dark floors, but I think really dark is a better choice with white cabinets or maybe a very light maple cabinet. Actually, when I first saw your kitchen, I thought of very light wood floors until I read you wanted dark.

I like the contrast with the cabinets. I always try to contrast a wood flooring stain at least 2 shades lighter or darker than the cabinet stain for dimension.
