I couldn't help but wish I could get into some of those places and get to work fixing them up again to their former glory.

I am always saddened when I see abandoned homes like that. I wonder what happened? Did they not have any friends or relatives to leave the home to? Did anyone miss them or even know they were gone that all of their things are just left there?

Handy, let's roll up our sleeves, what a great project, I think we will need a lot of cleaning supplies. And multiple dust masks. Are you in, Rinqreation? Not afraid of a little dust? Even though the scene in the church with the sheet covered parishioners is more than eerie, I might skip that one :)

Nice photographs, the artist has a unique touch........but it's quite evident these are all staged......but even so, interesting, Would love to have some of those pieces of furniture and old doors for sure.

It's one very silly orange bandana, but it sure beats having to wash my long hair every night, because it's all crunchy from the saw-, sand-, stucco and concrete dust. I'm far from patriotic though. :)

I don't blame you, that's a lot of "yuck" to have stuck in hair. Hope your not breathing too much of it in.

It's my (our) house. Me and my love have gutted the place and are slowly turning it into our little palace. And I must admit I'm not always wearing a dust mask and do have an occasional bronchitis (which mostly goes away in inbetween projects pauses).

I looked at your kitchen and garden ideabooks, we have very similar taste in many things. If your house ends up looking anything like some of your inspirations, I think it will indeed be a "palace" . What a wonderful and worthwhile project. You and your "hubs" must be quite in love with your home and with each other. I hope you'll post pictures of some of your projects when you finish them, I would love to see them. Good luck with all of it, my not so patriotic Dutch friend. :)
