Your kitchen looks great. i am curious about the under the counter Led Lights. How are they hooked up. I am working on a minor Kitchen Reno and this was also suggested to me but I do not know much about them or anyone who has them.

LED lighting is fantastic. Expensive upfront but overall better savings. My electricians installed it. It's installed under the cabinets (we added a light valance to hide the lighting) and then run on a separate switch which was installed on the back wall in the backsplash

How did you decide where to place the pot lights or is it based on where they can run the wire? i want to do this in my kitchen as well but I am not sure where they should go or do I leave that decision to the electrician. Thanks for the help

you normally put the "pot" lights to the left and to the right of every work surface, so one on either side of the sink, stove, prep area, etc...never directly over your head or you will be standing in your own shadow and never behind you, again because of shadows

Great job...so much more modern and happier. I love my LED retrofits.

The pot lights had to be run according to the joists. Unfortunately the ceiling was a mess and the electrician couldn't place the pot lights where I originally wanted them so we made it work with what we had to work with. Overall it looks great and the client is happy with the extra lighting since that was their original request.
