I'm hoping to find someone with a great idea on this because we are completely baffled. We bought this 1968 house and tore out the kitchen...now we can't figure out the best way to set up new one. We are planning on an island about where that vent sticks up from floor (this side of island will be dining room. The plumbing is under that smaller window (center of wall.). That wall measures 19'4", and the small wall toward door is 74". Tiny wall before large set of windows is: 16 1/4". We have already purchased a 36" side by side stainless steel finish refrigerator...might be able to return it, as it hasn't been quite a month yet. We weren't sure we had enough clearance to open the doors! Thanks for any advice you can offer. Ps. The soffit will be removed, and all will be 8' ceilings.
