The white quartz would look classy. They have some that look like marble. Are your hardwood floors stained their finished color? If not, I think I'd stain it a bit darker medium brown.

It depends on your preferred style. You can go for a classic or contemporary white that will look great with proper accessories or you may prefer a contrasting color to offset an overload of white.

Scott, thanks for those photos! Do you think if I keep it white, but add in a warmer backsplash and darker window treatment and furnishings, that might balance it out? Or look inconsistent?

I'm the worst with colors, but there's always the option of having a different color on the island than on the other countertops. I think your wall color would be enough to contrast with all the white, and you can opt for a backsplash on the entire area between the base and wall cabinets. Notice the grey in the photos I posted earlier? Google "white kitchen" for some ideas, but the smooth white looks like it would suit your kitchen nicely as long as you add some color in your décor.

I love a white kitchen! (Starting my remodel in about 3 weeks and it will be white with a cherry island). I think you really need to consider whether you like all white or not. Some people love the lightness of that. Some people think it's too monotone. What do you want to see every day? I'm a contrast person so I'm drawn to white kitchens with pushes of color (like the cherry island), but that look isn't for everyone. (I love the fish pic Scott posted above with the wood island counter and black perimeter).
