You definitely need to create some interest within the room. Paint is affordable (it used to be cheap, now it's just affordable), so I suggest you paint some broad horizontal stripes around the room. Don't be afraid to hang art over your stripes. Be sure to buy the kind of masking tape meant for stripes. Ask at the paint store.

Second, try to keep the lid down on the toilet and the towel folded. Every little detail will help make your powder room more attractive. Later you could consider an upgraded mirror, but what you have is fine for now.
