best lights for 60 in round table

Help on lighting. Do not like the one that is there. Want a clean
urban look but not off the wall.

The rule of threes is always a preferred option if it does not crowd the space. Depending on the diameter of the fixtures - three would be perfect. As a general rule, take the island length less diameter of pendants (13x3) then divide by 16" = 3.125

For instance, in a 13" diameter (if you are trying to go a bit more restoration-style - judging by the fixture you are looking at for over the table??)

You could try a drum pendant light to better complement your pendants, your beautiful countertop and (most of all) the style you desire!

A dome style or drum style for dining area sounds good.

Need dining area to be at least 30-33 wide for 60 in table . Is that correct size for table?

As a general rule (general is of course used loosely) the fixture over a table should be between 1/2 and 2/3 of the diameter. The visual weight of the fixture will help determine whether you are at the lower end or higher end of the scale.

Check out the lighting at West Elm. They have great choices that would work with a clean, urban style, and they're not too pricey.

Just bought a new house and replaced almost all the fixtures. They were hideous. Our custom kitchen table is a 66 in round and we went with a large drum pendant light by Candice Olson. I recommend a fixture with at least 3- 60 watt bulbs for good light. Can always install a dimmer switch if need lower lighting.

It's okay Ira, It's only a rule of thumb. What is the diameter of the current pendants you have and which pendants are you considering to replace them with?

Loved Whispar's pendants. Very lovely.
I also love this one chandelier by Framburg, for the dining table...
Framburg has been manufacturing high quality lighting in the USA for over a century (and yes, I believe in supporting manufacturers who aren't shipping jobs out of the U.S. And EU to exploit cheaper labor in China).

What style pendents would I put over island to coordinate with farmburg chandelier? Dining table is in great room not far from 5x6 kitchen island. Island is almost square with two chairs on each side
