First I'd lower the chandelier to 36" or less above the table and add a rug underneath. It should measure 4' wider and longer than the table top. The colors in it should set the colorway for your other accessories and decor. Consider reupholstering the chair seats in one of the rug colors for some more interest. It will be a beautiful room.

What do the other walls look like? Are you interested in painting? A area rug would could add some color. A real plant in the corner, some mercury glass items (candle sticks in assorted sizes, bowl, etc) on the buffet table would add some bling.

What a beautiful clean room! How about a colorful rug under the table? I like the detailed molding on the wall. Some type of floral arrangement would look nice on the table, or the
side table.

The first thing that I notice is that there is a lot of brown.... and the chandelier is mounted a bit too high. Around 36"from the bottom of the chandelier to the top of the table usually works. It's a good idea to see what height looks best as it is being adjusted. A large painting in place of the dark framed mirror will add interest. The sconces would look nice gold & silver leafed. Adding an interesting rug (color or textured) depending on what rooms the dining room opens to would be a nice addition. You could recover the dining chairs seats with a great fabric, have the chairs painted( a nice white), and add taller upholstered chairs at the head of the table would look nice. An interesting lamp on the console would be another light source. Layering color, finishes, textures and accessories always warms up a room and makes it more inviting. I love the green plant showing through the window. I looks like an art piece.

I like the dining room set. This is new, so definitely don't paint these new chairs. There is always ways of bringing colour in through accessories. I agree chandelier is too high and rug would be very nice.

here's an idea for inside your moldings on the walls, because i'm sure you've probably painted the walls already. it doesnt have to be a dark colored pattern, but there are many textured or matt on satin finished designs out there that are neutral. just throwing out another idea.

Paint a gray. Ben Moore has great colors. Inside moulding details paint a charcoal. Like chandler but looks too high drop to 36" above table. Get end chairs in black velvet high back wing back. Add black and silver stripe fabric to chair seats. Add 5 silver candlesticks in various heights and size to center if table.

Remove snonce replace with black and silver or mirrored same size, with crystals, to match chandelier. Area rug in a silver shag very big. On buffet add silver accessories. With bling. Ck Z Galleries for ideas.

What a lovely room! I think all you need is a large (tall), cut crystal vase for the buffet in front of the mirror with a fabulous bouquet of fresh flowers in it. I'd also like to see the chair cushions a brighter white, like the curtains. Maybe a white leather? I love the simplicity and beauty of the room. The flowers will be enough color.

Add a rug, table runners, crystal/glass vase with colourful flowers in front of mirror. What about a 6 x candle holder thats along the same lines of design as the wall light for in the middle of the table? Bring in some green from the outside in either a vase or real plant. You mainly just need too put something on the buffet and the table and you'll be done. Looks great:)

Once you lower the chandelier a bit: add a coloful rug, and the an antique, but coloful soup tureen and ladle on the side piece and a co-ordinating flower arrangement or a colorful bowl on the table!! A beautiful, clean room you have but it cries out for a splash of color!!

All great comments. Just wanted to say how pretty it is even before you add a bit of colour or bling. I love your windows and white drapes. I'd be tempted to keep the room very neutral and elegant without a lot of colour, but with a few bling accents instead. Mercury glass is so pretty and would lend well with the drapes. I would definitely put an area rug though for more warmth and formality, but I might try a tone on tone, soft grey or light beige too keep it elegant.
