We had these installed at 1/8" so as not to distract from the FULL-HEIGHT glass pattern but MORE IMPORTANTLY, not to "shadow" the tiles below each line of grout..... The wider the horizontal grout lines are on glass tiles, the more they "hinder" light pass-thru to the tiles below and destroy the effect....See a few more images of this project and you'll see what we mean.....John & Brigitte
