They do make formulations of grout that are much more stain resistant than the regular grout mixes. You might want to check with your installer to see if they might have used one of these mixes. Some of them are harder to work with in the installation and the installer might not have used it if you didn't ask for it.

Some people like to cut a lemon in half and use the cut side as a scrubber to keep grout clean and white...

Baking soda mix with small amt of water and tooth brush. Soap and hot water works to.

For your own sanity and to save yourself time in the long run, you may want to stain the white grout a gray or charcoal- this is possible.

Grout color can be changed, just brushed on. You can find bottles in the big box stores! Super easy! I actually just changed all the mortar color in my substantial amount of brick i have in my european style kitchen.The product comes in small bottles and is almost like paint, just brush it on. It took me a while as i did it myself but it was so easy and looks like it was installed that way. I hated the pink tinge mine had. Now it looks gray! I used a color called bone but it was a gray look dried.Find these in the tile area of stores- both Lowe's and Home Depot have them , through different manufacturers. Best of luck!

I think it will be fine! Worried the glass will take away from your beautiful backsplash.. Hold off then deal w stain if needed!

Kaplan Architects, AIAis right. They do make formulations of grout that are much more stain resistant so ask your installer about that. Change the colors only when it's already naturally changing colors, otherwise, enjoy your white grout for now.

A quick note about our experience: Brigitte and I consistently design between 70-90 kitchens/year (for over 34 years) and have designed thousands of kitchens.....We also design full structural including below-grade foundation plans.....We have 2 Chicagoland locations and a Michigan location which cover the Wisconsin to Indiana borders, N.W. Indiana and S.W. Michigan.....Anyway, that cooktop will probably throw out 25,000-30,000+ BTU's which will radiate the heat (and whatever you're cooking) up onto the backsplash.....Nothing you can do about it no matter how careful you are.....Good comments above so you really need to talk with your "tile-guy".....We deal with this all the time and have attached a few recent projects that will be dealing with the same thing as time goes on.....White grout certainly makes the tile shape stand out but you will pay a price.....Take a good look at the dark blue grout used on the blue glass.....It's something to think about (in dark grey, of course) if the white just keeps getting stained more and more.....Hope this helps a bit.....John & Brigitte

Steamer to clean. I use one on all my floors and tile and it is superb.

Your backsplash is killer, I really like it. I also had a light colored grout. Once a year I would reseal it. I also used a cookie sheet when making tomato sauce and when frying. I lived there seven years and it remained in good shape and I cook a lot. If you take measures like have been suggested I am sure it will be fine. The steamer is a great idea too.
