Converting bedroom to laundry/yoga

I have a 10x12 bedroom with the entry door & closet on the short wall. I'd like to move my washer/dryer into the closet and convert the balance into a yoga room. The washer/dryer will stick out of the closet by about 4", so I need to expand the closet into the bedroom by coming 2'-3' into the room. I'm looking for ideas beyond sliding closet doors to something more sturdy/soundproof. Any suggestions?

A floor plan would be helpful for layout ideas.

I moved my laundry from basement to 3rd floor. FYI if you have front loading high capacity machines, they are designed to sit on concrete, not wood frame, and normal sub floors. It will be noisy, but in my opinion, worth it! If you can do a concrete subfloor it will be worth the expense if you can manage it to limit noise and vibration.

there are rubber mats that can be purchased to isolate the noise from your washer and dryer. Shouldn't be a big problem to extend your closet a few inches by framing new wall in front of old and re hanging doors in new openingl. Also insulating those walls will help with noise too.
