That's a great look. I really like the way the designer has paired vintage and progressive, refined and farmhouse, opulence and restraint; and it's very functional to boot. Have you checked out this image (below)? It might be similarly shaped to the bathroom you're considering.

Thanks, chambers1589 - That's a good look - our problem is that we have doors on both sides, so there's no long wall space. We are potentially thinking of walling up the door that leads to the mud room to make the bathroom private, but it means any guests would have to meander through the house to use the central full bath instead of having instant access off the back yard - not sure if the cost of the renovation combined with the inconvenience for guests is worth the privacy factor...

There's no reason that the mirror must be directly over the sink. In fact, I remember a college professor suggesting that putting the mirror elsewhere helped prevent plumbing emergencies from items accidently dropped into the drain. (what do you expect but practicality from a male engineer?)

Another option would be to use mirrors at a slight angle on each side of the window like the wings of a three way mirror. Perhaps a wall mount mirror with the expanding mechanism in chrome. Get a countertop which runs from wall to wall with a vanity cabinet underneath. You could put additional storage with a medicine cabinet or over the john shelf/cabinet. If you don't like the idea of a mirrored medicine cabinet on the toilet side, you could recess it and attach a picture to the front instead of a mirror

I love the idea of the mirrors installed at angles in the corners! It would visually expand the space as well, and also allow me to see the back of my hair when I get ready in the mornings. ;)
