Would u please tell us what the materials used in this fireplace to give fire ..other than concrete

    The fire pit is tied into the natural gas coming from the house and turns on and off very much like an interior gas fireplace. A black volcanic rock is used in the pit that allows the flames to come through. Thanks for the question.

    We hand craft fire bowls and have been using rolled lava rock which looks like beach pebbles, but is safe for gas use...really nice clean look.
