I’m not sure I understand “gender”. Do you mean the room will sometimes be used for a male and other times for a female?

I would do a colourful curtain to finish the room off. How about something like this? Or a plain navy, to make it look more regal with those beautiful brass headboards and it will go with the ocean look, as well.

I agree in that I do not think I would add another zig zag geometric for the drapes (your floor is lovely) and provides enough of that pattern. I would take the green or blue from your accents and put it on the drapes in either a solid if you wanted to play it safe. Otherwise you could do stripes or a different pattern in those colours if you wanted to be a bit bold.

You could do a light wight, sheer linen in white with a shade or blinds behind it for room darkening if that is needed. The softness of a sheer drapery would be beautiful with the lighting in that room. A wood blind in the color of the floor would be a nice contract to the white linen or you could keep it feeling light with a white would blind or heavier textured roman shade with a weave similar to the matelasse of the bedcover.

What a lovely space! I very much like the window treatment you have, and don't think the room needs more than moving each bench to the ends of the beds. If you simply must gild this lily, then white curtains will look best in the breezes of your tropical theme.

Since our society is a little confused... why not have it non-specific? Put pretty matching throws at the foot of each bed.

I'd get a larger table and lamp with a bit more presence between the beds. Maybe add a jute rug on the floor between them.

Add a fluffy duvet/comforter folded on the foot of each bed. If you don't want more pattern, choose a solid, perhaps soft green, that co- ordinates with existing colors. Twin beds can look too long and skinny if not well dressed. Is that the box spring visible under the bedspread?

I think with the bars on the windows and the metal beds, the room could really use a little softness on the windows, otherwise it could have an institutional look. Love the floor and the colors you have chosen.

First off the floor is crazy cool so I hesitate to say this: What about a runner between the beds or one on either side? That way toes can find something soft in the morning and you are not covering too much of that gorgeous wood. A throw at the end of the bed would look extraordinary. And you must get a larger size lamp. If room, a larger table would be helpful to hold a book or tissues. The windows look cool as is. Try the other stuff first and if the room still needs softening go for light airy floor length curtains.

Love those beds. Love those floors. I really don't think you need curtains either.
