I've always been a fan of 1 large mirror with no frame. They are cheap and look awesome. No need for mounts, just get a good glass gut to affix it to the wall with adhesive.

As for lights, overhead pots angled towards create maximum visibility when you're at the mirror and when you aren't at the mirror they brighten up the whole room too.

My concern with 1 large mirror as the reflection in it will be another large cabinet, makeup table floor to ceiling…however it is a large light and bright bathroom??

I also agree that one large mirror would look the best. I have one large mirror in my bathroom and I also opted to not have any countertop backsplash and I love it.

I would do the whole wall in mirror with side beveled strips and run the lighting through the mirror. I have it and I love it ;)

Gosh, I just pulled out two large bathroom mirrors, and I can't seem to even give them away. They always screams 1970's/early 80's to me. I think 2 separate ones would be nice and emphasize the separate sinks. Take a look at some of the Robern medicine cabinets-- all sizes, and really nice, if you want a recessed (or surface mount) medicine cabinet-- Robern offers some really beautiful mirrors and amazing medicine cabinets. I love your wall color, by the way.

This might add to your confusion but I say definitely two mirrors. This makes for a much more personalized and stylized design. You can choose whatever mirrors you want - get some interesting ones not those "bathroom" mirrors. I had one large mirror covering the whole wall above the sink and replaced it with a single Venetian mirror (I only have one sink) - so much better! Wall to wall mirrors remind me of public bathrooms. ;)

haha. Well, I love the Robern medicine cabinets-- I just think they're incredible. But the ones we put in are recessed, so they just look like beautiful mirrors. We needed the storage as I didn't want built-in cabinetry (and, trust me, those we pulled out definitely screamed 1970's/80's-- all pink and MDF board.) I would never put in a large plate glass mirror, honestly, but-- hey-- I don't like granite, either, so I'm definitely in the minority.
I agree with Lydia's comment above. And given that you have 2 sinks, why not emphasize the dual nature of that, with 2 separate mirrors?

@dianahb: Which robern's did you choose? Can you show us a picture? I am also looking at robern's for a 72" vanity with 2 bowls.

Pam, I'll take a photo and upload it for you. I think we chose a 34" long, 19" wide (sort of long and narrow), beveled glass with curved top. We have 2 pedestal sinks, so one over each sink.
I honestly think nothing beats those cabinets, in terms of both style and quality. The quality is just amazing-- like nothing we saw elsewhere. And one of mine arrived with a little problem at the edge of the glass. We'd ordered them, not from Robern direct, and they sat here in boxes, for months, before they were opened and ready to be installed. I called them when we finally did open them. I was simply going to order a new front, but when she learned that we'd ordered them 3 months ago, but never installed, she immediately said she would send us a new replacement (free), which arrived in two days. Robern is owned by Kohler, and their customer service is outstanding. The hinges are fantastic, too-- you think that doesn't matter much, but it really does. The one that I really admire is their uplift cabinet. I couldn't afford that one, but it's so great if you get to see it in a showroom somewhere. I can't say enough good things about them. Anyway-- I'll get a photo up in a minute.

What is your budget? Consider lighted mirrors by Electric Mirror or Robern.

It's not a large space so I would suggest one large mirror with a frame. Good luck!

Pam-- I took this from a side view, so not sure it tells you much. The double pedestal sinks are outside the main bathroom. We put the same Robern cabinet in the other bathroom we did as well, we liked it so much. Not sure of the model of this one, but it is 34" long; 19" wide.

If there was more counter space, 2 mirrors with 4 sconces would be preferable. As is, single mirror with lighting above.
