Yes, the counters were a blue/grey soapstone with some lovely veining. (beautiful with the red birch!) It was continued at the same counter level at the bar area just outside the kitchen, and then used as a trim accent in the adjacent living room between upper and lower sections of our built in bookcase cabinetry.
