Hi Everyone,

I've just bought a flat and I desperately need some help with the lighting. My ceilings are concrete and only 8.3 feet high with two light points. I've just finished painting and putting in the brilliant white crown moldings today. The ceilings are a Mayonnaise colour and I've gone with a light beige wall similar to Benjamin Moore's Shaker Beige.

Just to let you know why I've gone with that layout for my lounge, I absolutely love my tv and movies and I needed to get my rear speakers behind the couch, not just next to them so I have proper surround sound. I don't think it's the best layout but I'm limited in what I can do.

The lounge size is 21' by 12' so not big by any means.

Lighting is the aspect that can make something look absolutely amazing or just boring and drab and my dilemma is, how on earth can I create great lighting with concrete ceilings?

I've also attached a view of how my lounge looks but really have no idea on how to create the perfect lighting with concrete ceilings and those two light points.

If anyone can help or suggest anything I would be forever grateful.
