    Honed, much softer than polished.

    Definitely honed looks much nicer in a traditional setting. I think it wears better too since polished tends to get more easily etched with lemon juice and things like that.... good luck!

    this is what i am very afraid of....i have 5 children and 4 are boys with lots of friends...i fear pizza being cut on it, is the coating that durable? being talked into a granite look alike but fear i'll be disappointed...thanks for the help!

    What is the name of this wonderful new sealant for marble? and where can I get it applied? I live in Ma

    The name of the sealant is "scam". I'm writing this 1 year after this guy's post. I've not seen his post followup, nor have I heard of this product when I inquire at granite and marble stores. I'm sure they like to know so they could sell more marble.
