I have older wooden style cabinets. The wood is in good shape so I decided I'd refresh them with some new color. Well I sanded them pretty well, but didn't remove all paint. I've now primed them and in some areas the primer is scratching off very easily. Do I remove the primer and sand all of the paint off ? Or can I just sand it to get a rough surface so the primer will adhere? I treated all the cabinets the same, but only in this one area I'm having the scratching problem! Please help.
I used Kilz acrylic primer.
