I am doing a new build, and am having some difficulty nailing down the exact design I am looking for. Originally, I wanted to do a grey/greige paint colour, white granite, and a white-ish backsplash. Dark dark cabinets and flooring. Unfortunately, the only granite's I have to choose from (without paying an arm and a leg!) are not as white as I wanted. (Quartz is also a pretty big upgrade).

The granite that my partner likes, is Kashmir White http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/88/Granite_kashmir_white.jpg
The only other whiteish one that I like is something like this http://www.ctmstone.com/files/Black_White.jpg but it doesn't read as 'white'.

Now, the backsplash we were originally going to go with was this

But this backsplash is icy white, whereas the first granite is much warmer, and I don't feel like they really blend together at all. Do either of the granites look okay with this tile? Should we scratch the backsplash and go in a warmer direction?
