One rule for kitchens and baths is white plus one color. You have the white backsplash and the gray and green granite. I'd like white walls, no curtains. Your one color is either gray or green, pick one. I'd pick green. Push the gray- green and don't add any other colors. It does not have to be the exact gray-green, but a green that looks great with the gray-green. Yes, you could add warm red or orange items here and there, but I like a room palette to look more sophisticated so I'd forget the additional accent. Wall art with a wide mat in gray-green and a pen & ink drawing as a subject would look great. Not a black frame, but a frame to match your cabinets or floor, or a gray frame might be nice, too.

I like white walls b/c I love art and like to show the art to best advantage and not emphasize a room color. I don't like drapes. I like: plantation shutters, wide wood blinds with sometimes contrasting tape, mini blinds (but a pain to clean). Your dining room furniture sounds very stylish and must be beautiful paired with french doors to deck. I love the contrast you chose of black leather, rustic table & mustard server! Most rooms have too much wood and I love the look of a painted piece. I'd coordinate the colors in the dining room with the kitchen. Not the same colors exactly but dining room colors that enhance the kitchen's colors. Over the server I'd place a large piece of abstract art (no frame, just paint on canvas). I love aquamarine with mustard, so the art would have a lot of aquamarine in it. This art and a 3 black & white items in similar grouping might be nice over the mustard server. The aqua looks nice w the mustard and the brown and black repeat the table and chairs.

Or consider buying a large stretched canvas (after you practice on something else) and read up on Helen Frankenthaler. Her art was made by pouring acrylic paint onto a canvas, sometimes while she was standing. Don't forget the aqua!

Or buy a large (36 x ?) stretched canvas and staple fabric to it. Check out abstract aqua cottons of Marimekko or Amy Butler or there are many other talented textile artists.
