Round dining table/rectangular rug

We have recently added a basement and this dining room onto our house. I have a 60 inch round table coming to replace the table in the picture. I love this beautiful rug (8.5' by 11 feet) and I'd love to use it but I'm wondering if a large round rug would be a better choice. Thanks

You need a minimum of 18” on ether side of your table for your dining chairs. It should be okay.

As long as the chairs don't get too close to the edge, I don't see a problem with the rug you have.

Would have to see table on this rug with chairs. Usually it's, the rug matches the table. So round might be better, remember too chairs must be on rug when pulled out to sit. How big is table?

The rug fits the space...should not be an issue.

The table is 60 round (the dining table in the pic is 60 across if that helps). There will be 21 inches to pull the each chair out.

Well you'll probably be here when the tables and chairs come..... So I'm pretty sure you'll see it...... In fact, I think it YOU that has the great taste!!!! Question: WERE we separated at birth????
