Don't regret what you did!

I just did a banquette this year in my kitchen and had the same difficulty you did. I also made mine "L" shaped and wanted a rectangular pedestal table. I searched a long time online, and while I found them, I didn't find them in my budget.

If you can't find anything online, start looking in resale stores. You may have to "make" your own or get assistance from a family member or friend to do so. My kitchen was redecorated in a cottage style and I ended up buying an antique Singer sewing machine base and attaching a board to the top to get the diameters I wanted.

It is hard to find very specific things, but I have found sometimes you have to alter what it is you are looking for. If what you want is a table similar to the one in the photo posted, then search the internet for "mid-century pedestal table". You may have to look at some websites for manufacturers that will allow you to custom make something with a pedestal and table top to your specifications. I know there are restaurant retailers online for tables with separate tops and bases.
