They are very important to us, as well as every other online review of our firm. We have generated a ton of leads via Houzz and I just am not sure if they would still be there if not for the kind words from our clients (both current and past)

I agree with printesa, they are important. And you can only find the real truth, plus see pictures of work done.

@trail6: No - We stay up north in a rather subtropical zone and we are so lucky that everything literally grows when one stick it in the ground!
We often travel to the west coast when the craving for fresh seafood becomes too demanding.

Hi Fratantoni, Thanks for asking. I treat all reviews exactly as they are: other people's opinions. The less I know about something, the more I need to research about it, and the more opinions I would consult from other people, especially from very experienced people and professionals. At least, initially.
Of course, the better and the longer I know someone and the more I know about their expertise and past projects, the higher the confidence I have about their views and opinions (and vice versa).
But eventually, it's still my responsibility to educate myself to make the decisions. So I consult, research, study -- rinse & repeat -- then decide. Thank you.

I think it has a huge impact for everyone either the home keepers, the architect, home designers, and home furniture stores and the like. Houzz is everything in one, I love it!

I think one very important thing to remember most of all is that it keeps all concerned with homes in contact with each other and everyone receives advice, feedback and expert opinions from all over. Plus, I love seeing other homes and what they are doing, it is all inspirational and wonderful.

I think we all even have so much fun reading some articles and reviews, opinions on the monster fireplace ( anyone remember that?) and the huge house renovation by someone on here ( we have yet to hear more about that!), very interesting indeed. It is a unique website, no doubt!

Good reviews are worth their weight, especially now that a lot of the world is now 'plugged in'... and Houzz here is a great mix of all, from the pro to the not... and it's keeping my sanity during my most trying times here.

I have decided that Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, will be two days off. I have working tub and shower, I have toilets snugged in 'forever', there are nice warm beautiful tile floors in the bathrooms. With luck Monday's session with the pneumatic nailer will give me floors in the rest of the place; and I can spend Tuesday and Wednesday enjoying my new RMH to bake on the toasty bench... I think it's one of the nicest gestures a client can do for a business !

I love houzz reviews, or else I couldn't live!

Reason being, when I lived in Orange County, CA, before moving to where I live now, I surfed that area for many years. I know that you guys have some really nice world class surf along your beach breaks so I thought I would ask. Even though I'm landlocked here, where I live now, I'm slowly converting my small footprint house into a surf shack and climbers hut. The next time you have a craving for seafood, try making some fish tacos for yourself. Just make sure it's a recipe from So Cal. Try Googling "Wahoos" restaurant in So Cal to see how they do it. They are so tasty. You can't eat just one. Enjoy.

Customer opinions are important in the decision making process. If it didn't have an impact, sites such as Houzz, Yelp and Angie's List would cease to have the current impact that they do for their place in helping choose professionals to assist with the design and construction process.

Whenever I'm hiring a professional I check Houzz first! I then research from there BBB, other online reviews ect.
It's a great resource and I especially like that there are reviews from other professionals that have worked with them and customers.

I would like to edit my review of a company. Having lived with the remodel, I would like to add to my comment. It doesn't seem possible to do this.

Since it has become one of the ( if not the one) most popular place/s online in the world to come for home advice and is a magnet for all home owners, firms, architectural companies etc., I believe Houzz reviews are very important.
