We have an older log home and expanding and upgrading. We have to cut into the original log to make three doorways and want to upgrade the windows. I am wondering how do we go about cutting out, trimming out, and finishing the doorways and windows to make them look nice. (Two of the doorways will have doors will have standard doors, one will be an open pathway into the main part of the house. The windows we are installing are high efficient withe the plastic moldings,ect.) thoughts and suggestions would be helpful.
