Need help choosing quartz countertops for our kitchen

We are building for the first time and have chosen white shaker cabinets for our kitchen and dark wood floors. We are having a hard time choosing our quartz countertops and would like suggestions please. We like the look of black, but do not want that for our home. We also prefer the simple, consistent look of quartz. Thank you!

Don't go black. I chose a Cambria Quartz with a white background with a grey and rust running thru it and LOVE IT. I agree with Idego Interior comments.

Some say you should use a countertop color similar to the floor to make two visual horizontal planes. I, personally, do not think that necessary. Also, remember, you can do two different colors -say for instance, one color on an island & another on rest of counter. Have you checked out Cambria's brown color palette?

We would consider a white count top or at least a counter top with a white background, however will likely have white subway tile backsplash. Too much white? We are looking for a classic, timeless look.

If white CT is considered , look into white glass stone . For the back splash some glass & stainless steel mosaics may be interesting .

I appreciate the input. I am considering a grey quartz on the perimeter countertops and a white quartz with grey marbling on the island. Do you think grey is a timeless look or will it likely be a fad? Also considering GE slate colored appliances. Any thoughts welcomed and appreciated.

We just bought the ge slate appliances. LOVE them. With a dark hardwood floor we are going with white cabinets and subway tile backsplash. I am thinking about gray counters too because it will work with the slate.

We have white shaker cabinets and a Gray island and just installed Cambria's Seagrove Quartz and really love it. It is white, cream, grays, taupe and a bit of black. I was thinking of doing island different but am very happy with the single pattern throughout.

Thanks everyone. We ended up choosing Silestone Marengo (grey) for perimeter and Silestone Lyra (similar to the look of marble) for our island. We especially love the Silestone Lyra and are pleased overall considering we had a limited budget for countertop selections.
