Would like to upload photo of living room wall. I have a mantel with fireplace and flat screen mounted above it. Then to the right there is a small window. What can I put on the left? Today we will put up our Christmas tree in that space but that's only temporary. Please give me some ideas. Thanks, Mags

Sometimes it can be frustrating if something is not symmetrical but I would actually add some floating shelves and display books with accessories. If you have the budget and nothing is in the way of installing a new window, that would be my second option. It's always great to introduce more natural light into a room.

I vote for nothing...adding a picture or mirror there could get busy visually.

A stained glass piece would look nice there. Try to find a piece about the same size as the window.

I know, but everything gets dusty and dirty if you do not keep up with things. Even your moose head and lamp get that way!!! I love plants in a room, and if a big one fits, all the better!

How about a chair in that corner and lamp with art piece on wall. Roman blinds on the window or lovely curtains. Symmetry is overrated.

OH, but the glass coffee table is daily.......not so much with the other stuff.

Why not take the television set off the wall, since it is not art, and put it someplace else? Then, add a nice painting over the fireplace, and you're done.

Maybe a built in bench under the window with a colorful cushion and either Dar's idea with a chair, lamp & art on the left, or MAJ's idea of floating shelves on the left.

You could have some custom built corner shelves put in from floor to ceiling. Not to big though or it might clutter up that corner.
