There has been a shift in sink design to integrated seamless drains. We introduced the concept in 2008 and it has been emulated by Elkay, American Standard and Moen. First thing, what is the type of countertop? If it’s granite or quartz, your sink will probably be an undermount. If it’s laminate, wood or ceramic, it will probably be a topmount.

Next thing people usually consider is the look of the sink. But our advice is to focus on your needs. Having a single bowl is a great idea to wash big pots and pans, rinse dishes before putting them in the dishwasher... But sometimes, a double bowl could be interesting to hide dirty dishes from view or to add a food waste disposer. Also, the length of your sink will be determined by your cabinet size. We recommend choosing the largest bowl that fits. Bowls are usually 8’’, 9’’, 10’’ or 12’’ deep. Think about your height, it may be uncomfortable for your back to reach the bottom. Finally, we recommend to choose a straight sides and flat bottom sink to maximize the volume. You can check our handcrafted sink collections here:
