i bought this lamp a while ago , will try to find same one more , or two big white lamps if candelabra is really not working , yess i wanted to give this a romantic touch.

I think you should change the bed cover.it should be of more viberant colour .What about using the same color as of pink wall.

I think having that wall painted red or pink actually draw attention to the narrow-ness of the room. I think I would paint it the same color and consider adding some horizontal stripe, like along the top of the wall ( crown Molding) or just a band of color about 1/3 down from the ceiling all the way around the room to trick your eye to think the room is wider. You could also do it with the red/pink wall as it is now, as the base color, and add back a stripe of the other color (of the 3 walls). You can bring in the bright colors with accessories. I thought your original photo looked good with the drum lamp hanging over the bed- kind of exotic. I do not think the candles sconces work in that room. Also I agree to have bigger lamps, hanging would work if you can do that with the wiring. They also make wall mounted lamps that conceal the wire down towards the floor so you will still end up with your side tables free.

i am not too much concerned about narrowness , this is a kinda spare room and i just wanted a totally different decor from my other house decor , i want a chic , vibrant glamorous but antique room , it will only be used if we have some extra guest ( we have an other guest room) , with all other walls painted this room will look more narrow (it looks more narrow in pictures it is kinda rectangle room. and also i wanted only one hot pink wall i can paint other walls beige if white are not good.

I still like the candelabra, especially now that we know that the room won't be used much; as a guest I think having it there will make it special. I would not change the bed spread, most of the writers here like it and think it works well. Hot pink is not for everyone and this is a guest room. Leave it as it is. if you want to paint the mirror frames, go ahead and if you don't like it paint them again. Seeing as this is a guest room why don't you get some opinions from family and friends. Seeing it in person is much different than seeing it in person.

in picture everything is looking dark the bed spread is hot pink , dark purple and dark red and pillows are same colors as in bed spread but two black also.

Yes, I think a mirror above your bed would look great! Since it is such a bright wall color, I think adding some fun frames/art or pictures to your wall would really add something to the room.

You must have some nice friends, as those are nice things. I disagree with Ms. Costello, I think you have enough things on the wall. If you look at your first picture and what your room looks like now, it is much warmer and cozier. As a previous Houzzer said, "less is more". You did try putting a mirror over the bed but I think your wall hanging is nicer. The Chinese Feng Shui styke if decorating says it is bad luck to put a mirror over your bed.

I think you do have design talent, very nice job!

I don't put heavy things over my bed. I don't want to be hit if they fall. I have tapestries over my bed.

yea may b but space is little as there are two doors on both sides , room door and closet door. i was thinking about a small dresser or may be very small consol . what should be there on a wall with two doors ???

Love the red cover on bed. So much better than the other one. Don't think you need rug. I liked the big mirror over bed. It worked. I would make it more simple behind bed. Use items in another room. This a very small room. Don't want to make it cluttered. Good job. You ask for and received good advice, which you then took. Great room. And you did it.

You have done very well.well done.In my opinion you should have a ety small rug at the end of bed.it will further enhance the coziness of the room.

You have done a good job. In the end it's what you feel comfortable with. I like the big mirror, alone nothing else. It's a small room less. Is really more. Enjoy.

thank you guys , more help needed please . i put this small dresser and to balance it with other room i put some wicker plates , is it working ?? and also i put a sunburst mirror as some are saying it would look good so it was stuck in my mind . the other mirror was so heavy and my husband so likes it in entry room that he was not agreeing to put it here .

I like the wicker grouping but I wish the brass candlestick was shorter or even removed.
