Excellent point. Colors are just insane. Over a decade ago when we first started with glass tiles, we would see samples, run through the factory and then it would be different, then I take it into the bathroom and it is different again, then outside and well.... different again, really different on some.

So I did some research and with the help of my 4th grader who explained why snow is white which really amazed me and black same reason, it does not reflect any colors of the spectrum, so colors are what they are as they are impacted by other properties around them, in short order samples :) I looked online and came up with the following to support my madness:

"The color of the objects that we see is largely due to the way those objects interact with light and ultimately reflect or transmit it to our eyes. The color of an object is not actually within the object itself. Rather, the color is in the light that shines upon it and is ultimately reflected or transmitted to our eyes. We know that the visible light spectrum consists of a range of frequencies, each of which corresponds to a specific color. When visible light strikes an object and a specific frequency becomes absorbed, that frequency of light will never make it to our eyes. Any visible light that strikes the object and becomes reflected or transmitted to our eyes will contribute to the color appearance of that object".

Then you can even look at other marble products altogether like Calacatta. This is a tricky stone. You need samples and pictures before you buy there is a lot of Chinese material with "Yellowing" in it, this is being passed of as Calacatta, which would be okay, if the price matched the quality and they were upfront about it.
