Hi, am have just bought an older type home and it needs a complete new roof. I am trying to obtain a quaint story book quality to it . I would love to know the correct pitch term to ask my builder...many thanks Victoria

The use of varying roof lines works very well. What is the purpose of the slightly raised section of roof over the living area just before the outdoor pavilion? Is it visual or structural?

I've been admiring this house. I would expect that the raised section contains rigid insulation over the conditioned space.

I am building a house in Asheville. The exterior color is SW Iron Ore which is very close in color to this house. My trim is SW Pure White. I will post a picture when the house is finished. I drove by this house and it is breathtaking.
