Dear Houzzers,

I Rallye need help with my bedroom. One side (the bed side) is almost finished, though there is something missing in terms of embellishment, in my view.

But the opposite side is a disaster. The flatscreen was moved to the bedroom around two months ago and sits on a provisional old table. I was looking for a console table for a long time and finally found one similar to the current but shorter (just to fit the width of the TV) and in white. I must admit, I am not sure of this choice, as I possibly need more surface to put things down. I was also thinking to put a nice armchair in the corner, but it is difficult to find a small one, to fit in the corner. The last one i was looking at was Bess by e15, a German Design firm (I myself live in Germany), but the price is prohibitive.

I find the Chinese rolls on the walls quite soothing. The curtains are a bit offwhite and I am not sure they fit well (after i painted the walls light lilac color). Rugs are a no go because of dust / allergies of family members. I share this room with my husband and my 3 y.o. daughter, who enjoys occasional sleepovers in our bed. So my aim is to make the bedroom kid- and male-friendly.
