I think a yellow paint..very subtle light shade would be like sunshine in your apartment..Yellow paint is very hard to find the right color if it's too bright..I used Benjamin Moore Mannequin Cream in my last home...and it was a very light yellow..I got many compliments on it..

I love a pale yellow wall, especially in an apartment. Really helps bring some light and warmth.

Any citrus-y/tropical color would be good:
Orange, Lime, Coral, Peach...
...even bright blues and aquas will work.

However it's best not to select a paint color at random, but instead choose it based on a fabric or rug that you're using or a piece of artwork in your home - there's nothing worse than painting a space only to discover that there's nothing available commercially to go with it because it's not the trendy "color of the week"
