What did you do with the corner cabinets?

I've got a small U-shaped kitchen too and I'm looking for ideas as to how to use the space in the corners (either side of the sink in your photo) that isn't easy to access.

In this kitchen, we left the right side corner accessible through the sink cabinet. The homeowner will use as remote storage area for occasional use items.
