My husband and I are trying to decide what color of trim to install in our home. The house came with dark stained trim at the top of the walls in the living room. Recently, we have updated the kitchen with light golden oak colored cabinets. The bathroom also has golden oak cabinets and medicine cabinets. We need to replace the trim in the whole house however we don't know if we should go with the golden oak color throughout, including the living room or do dark trim in the living room to match what is already there. The question is, how do we incorporate the color we choose with the door casings?
