We are renovating our kitchen and adding a peninsula and a sliding glass patio door (2 views of plan attached). Two questions:
1. Is the sliding patio door too close to the peninsula? the door is already ordered, but wondering if it should open from the other end so as to not be too crowded on the right side? Or is it no big deal to be that close?
2. The peninsula width will be 34". In the existing plan, one end has legs and the other cabinets. Think i could put a 12" cabinet underneath the peninsula (running down the middle) and still have enough leg room for stools? it'd be about 9" for legroom.... enough?
