I am trying to decide on interior doors for a remodel of my walk-in basement. The flooring is dark handscraped hickory and I had planned on using a painted trim and doors. My designer is encouraging me to consider stained doors and trim. The trim and doors on the upper level of the house is painted. I am going to have 2 doors on rail systems in the basement. I am considering stained doors with frosted windows with on these rails but keeping painted trim. I welcome ideas/suggestions!
