Well I like it both ways. At first I didn't see the nailhead so I chose the pattern on top. When I saw the nailhead i became torn!

I just look again, and I do like how the pattern on the seat breaks up the dark between the bench base and the padded wall. If you do the nail trim all the way around then go with patterned seat. Sorry for making that way longer than it needed to be! :)

I love your bench. You did an amazing job. the pattern works well on both the top and the bottom, but I think if you are putting the solid on the top then you should definitely use a patterned curtain. Everything you have done looks so great, but I don't think those curtains do anything for the room. I'm confident you could find something better.

I would continue the patterned fabric on both pieces of your amazing bench. I agree that you need a heavier fabric for your draperies. Have you thought of bringing in the golish color that is in the bench fabric to the window treatment?

Just get it all finished and then see what you think of the finished product. I bet you will like it when it's all done. Set up your table with some placemats that have a punch of color too. I always set my table for some reason. :) probably shouldn't but I just like the look of a dressed table.

It was a disaster. We decided to call someone to do it. We couldn't figure out the right height to hang the stupid bracket. So now we get to patch holes and have someone try again!

Your chandelier is more traditional and table is modern. Change to a brush nickel hang 36" from table top. Add a black bamboo shade to,window keep Half way dn.then open panels and just have on ends. Put one chair on other side. And add a big 40" art to that wall hang low. Ikea has some nice ones.

Add some accent color to sofas in print and solid pillows mix up.size and shape. try a black,and white chevron panels on windows instead.

The lamp is gray and the tall vase is what but my phone makes them look blue.

I think you need a heavier curtain panel also, and I'd really consider painting the entire fireplace wall into the dining a rope colored tan or a greyed blue that works with everything else to punch up the rooms. I love your fireplace configuration .Good luck!
