We are ready for the Kitchen Designer to complete the plans for our Mid Scale kitchen renovations which will include taking down a bearing wall to open up the kitchen. I was told that the preference is not to order the cabinets until the demo is completed and the final measurements can be determined. The new design is a U shaped kitchen with overlay cabinets and I'd like some insight from others on compelling factors that suggest preference versus idle time due to the deferred ordering. I understand that the objective is not to use fillers, but is this standard procedure? Thanks in advance, I am getting concerned now that I have come to this point.
