@Felixgrantham - that's what is opposite of the wall (wall is on the left side of this pic) but we are doing new countertops this month. The next pic is our style. We do not need any storage, just something break it a lll up. Thanks.

I am suggesting this so much, but it seems to work for a temporary fix…decals. I think the white would look great on the dark wall.

How about art of any kind to lighten up a dark flat wall and give some personality. Get a set of larger scale frames from IKEA or similar and hang. You can frame kids art or travel photos and change it around over the years.

You can put up wallpaper with a corn field or any garden veg landscape or even your children in a garden

Friends of us have painted a wall in their kitchen with magnetic paint as an undercoat. They use it as a large pinboard. Amazing how well magnets stick to it.
I like the idea of the large map of the world too.

I would make it a gallery wall for kids artwork....if you have kids. :) This isn't the best example, but you get the idea.

Have you ever thought about upgrading to a decorative vent cover? We make them in any size and they look beautiful!

Careful with using that magnetic paint. Small magnets and small kids do not mix well!
